Sahna Vaidya

Based in Mumbai & Pune — bringing the depth of India's ancient wisdom traditions to modern life through teaching, writing, and personal guidance.

My journey with yoga and Vedic philosophy began as a personal quest for meaning, and over the years transformed into a vocation of sharing these teachings with students, professionals, and seekers from all walks of life.

I teach classical yoga in the Ashtanga tradition, explore the depths of Patanjali's Yoga Sutras, and offer unique perspectives on the Bhagvad Gita as a guide for contemporary challenges — from corporate stress to UPSC preparation.

My Teaching Philosophy

I believe that yoga is not merely a physical discipline — it is a comprehensive system for the evolution of human consciousness. The ancient rishis designed these practices to address the whole person: body, breath, mind, intellect, and spirit.

My approach is rooted in the original texts — Patanjali's Yoga Sutras, the Bhagvad Gita, the Upanishads — while remaining practical and accessible for the contemporary student who lives and works in the modern world.

I believe that the greatest gift of yoga is not flexibility or stress-relief, though these certainly come. It is the cultivation of viveka (discernment) and vairagya (non-attachment) — inner qualities that transform how we relate to every aspect of our lives.
